BANFF Honours ZDF German Television with
Global Television Outstanding Achievement Award 2003

ZDF German Television, one of Europe's largest broadcasters and a leading provider of high-quality factual programming, is the recipient of this year's prestigious Global Television Outstanding Achievement Award at the 24th Banff Television Festival, June 8 to 13, 2003. The award will be presented to ZDF at a special evening Tribute celebration on Tuesday, June 10.

Lions Gate Launches New Innovative Producer Award for BANFF 2003

In celebration of innovation and entrepreneurial excellence in the Canadian television industry, Lions Gate Television Inc. and the Banff Television Festival are pleased to announce the launch of the new Lions Gate Innovative Producer Award for BANFF 2003. This award is intended to recognize the achievements of an established Canadian independent producer. The winner will be selected by a Jury of three based on an application process with Jury representation from Lions Gate Television Inc., the Banff Television Foundation and the broadcasting community.

BANFF 2003 to Honour Sir David Attenborough with Lifetime Achievement Award Sponsored by Kodak Entertainment Imaging

With a distinguished broadcasting career spanning over 50 years, Sir David Attenborough, world-renowned filmmaker, broadcaster, producer and host of natural history documentaries, will be honoured with a special Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Kodak Entertainment Imaging, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the television industry. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Sir David on Monday, June 9, during the Banff Rockie Awards Show as part of the 24th Banff Television Festival.
